Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using CommunityTix (communitytix.org), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.

2. About the Service

CommunityTix is a multi-tenant community event ticketing platform operated by SoftNext Solutions. The platform enables community organisations to create public websites, manage events, sell tickets, and manage memberships.

3. Account Terms

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

4. Organisation (Tenant) Accounts

If you create an organisation on the platform:

  • You are responsible for all content published through your organisation's site.
  • You must ensure that your use of the platform complies with all applicable laws.
  • You are responsible for managing your organisation's member data in accordance with data protection law.
  • You must not use the platform for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose.

5. Payment Terms

  • Platform subscriptions: Paid organisation accounts are billed via Stripe at the rate selected (quarterly or annual). Payments are one-time charges for the selected period and do not auto-renew.
  • Event tickets: Ticket payments are processed through PayPal (configured by each organisation) and go directly to the organisation. CommunityTix does not take a commission on ticket sales.
  • Refunds: Refund policies for event tickets are determined by each organisation. Platform subscription payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Free trial: New paid organisation accounts receive a 30-day free trial. No credit card is required during the trial period.

6. Intellectual Property

The CommunityTix platform, including its design, code, features, and documentation, is the intellectual property of SoftNext Solutions. Content uploaded by users and organisations remains the property of the respective user or organisation.

7. Permitted Use

You may use the platform to:

  • Create and manage community organisation websites
  • Create and promote events
  • Sell tickets and manage RSVPs
  • Manage community memberships
  • Publish blog posts and content

8. Prohibited Use

You must not:

  • Use the platform for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful activity
  • Upload malicious content, malware, or attempt to compromise the platform's security
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the platform without permission
  • Impersonate another person or organisation
  • Use the platform to send unsolicited communications (spam)
  • Attempt to access other organisations' data or admin areas
  • Resell or redistribute the platform's services without authorisation

9. User-Generated Content

You are solely responsible for any content you upload, publish, or transmit through the platform. By uploading content, you grant CommunityTix a non-exclusive licence to store, display, and serve that content as part of the platform's normal operation. You retain ownership of your content.

10. Third-Party Links

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party sites.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoftNext Solutions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the platform.

13. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the billing settings (for paid accounts) or by contacting us. Upon deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
